Verity Freebern has been a designer in various forms for almost 20 years. She began her career as an art director for a publishing company in Arizona, and then moved to Chicago, where she worked for several Loop design firms. She started her own design business in 1992, and did work for clients including Thomson Media, Leo Burnett, City of Chicago, Clorox Corporation, National Ski Patrol and others.

Verity also owns a kids' product business called Grow, which designs, manufactures and retails kids' clothing, bedding and other products. The Grow retail store is located just north of a historic shopping district in Denver, and Verity's studio is also in the same space.
